1. History BCIC was founded in 1976 following a technology transfer agreement with the Norwegian flooring company Rikett; formerly Rieber & Son. Starting as a manufacturer of homogeneous PVC tiles, BCIC grew during the past 25 years to become a major supplier in the Middle East of floor coverings, PVC Wallbase, adhesives, and building finishing materials. BCIC employs 110 persons and has a turnover of SR 40 million. The company sources technical know-how from several European companies through various manufacturing licenses and agreements. 2. BCIC-Gerflor Joint Venture In 1998, BCIC entered into a commercial trade venture with Gerflor, a world leader in PVC floor coverings with manufacturing facilities in France, Germany, Ireland and the Far East. Gerflor's products cover all flooring applications including hospitals, schools, commercial and residential buildings as well as a wide range of sport floors designed to meet the high Olympic standards. |

With manufacturing facilities and headquarters in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, the marketing and sales activities of BCIC cover the Saudi Arabian market and stretch to neighbouring Middle Eastern countries, Europe and the Far East. To extend good and prompt service to BCIC customers, and maintain excellent contact with architects, consultants, and contractors, the company has domestic sales offices in Dammam, Riyadh and Jeddah, and Export Offices in Dubai and Beirut. In Europe, BCIC is represented through international partners' liaison offices in Paris and London. |
